LONGINES HERITAGE COLUMN-WHEEL CHRONOGRAPH

Longines Heritage Column-Wheel Chronograph Watch is part of Longine’s history in watchmaking innovation. Especially for chronographs. In fact, back in 1878, the company produced the world’s first column-wheel chronograph. Several decades later the Brand also patented the flyback chronograph. And, today the company still produces several more notable mechanical chronographs.

Furthermore, Longines developed the column-wheel actuator to syncronize properly the various levers. And with this, the feature wouldn’t let the user make this mistake. Today the column-wheel Chronographs actuators become components found in many high-end chronograph movements. In fact, all these features can be seen as part of many popular chronograph movements powered by the Valjoux 7750.

The Movement – Caliber L688.2–

Additionally, Longines started to add caliber L688.2 to its Heritage Collection in 2011. A Column-Wheel Chronograph. As a matter of fact, they placed this caliber behind a vintage-inspired dial and case.
