Commemorating Scott Carpenter  Limited Edition – 1962 Units Ever Made

Briefly, on May 24^th, 1962,  Scott Carpenter orbited the Earth three times aboard the Aurora 7 capsule. As a matter of fact, on his wrist was a Navitimer with 24-hour graduation. Of course for that kind of mission, a vital necessity in distinguishing day from night. Although, the special feature of this model is the 24-hour scale that enables its wearer to read not only the exact time but also the time of day. Therefore, timing becomes extremely easy to read thanks to the chronograph function of this legendary wristwatch. Moreover, its stainless steel case radiates robustness and also a thirst for adventure – living up to the spirit of the Navitimer Cosmonaute.

The Movement – Breitling Caliber 02

In fact, entering the Breitling Collections under the name Cosmonaute, this pioneer in the sphere of space conquest comes equipped with a Manufacture Breitling movement. Thus, this movement features a manual winding mechanism with a 24-hour display – two tributes to the original 1962 chronograph. Also, this caliber is an exceptional feat of micro-mechanics. Furthermore, it prooves already its very good reliability as its sturdy, too. Moreover, the chronograph feature comes with the precision of 1/4^th of second and of course is COSC certified chronometer. It is also pursuing its odyssey in an exclusive and technical all black-clad version. So, a 1,000-piece limited series named Navitimer Cosmonaute “Blacksteel” was made.
