Brand History

Abraham-Louis Breguet is the founder of Breguet Watches Company.  In fact, Abraham Louis is still considered the foremost watchmaker. Practically he represents one of the first wristwatches inventors. He is also considered the innovator of the modern timepiece’s design. Although, almost all modern luxury timepieces nowadays possess at least one basic feature of the models made by Breguet. The brand remains one of the undisputed Top Luxury Watches Brands in the highest price segment. But also remains as an innovation pioneer of the luxury watch market.
In fact, the most important feature of these watches represents their Classic design. The Guilloché dial with Roman numerals. The “Breguet” hands coupled also with their Cannellated Cases.

It all started in 1775. In fact, Abraham-Louis founded his first watch shop in Paris. Initially, it focused on finalizing the foreign draft mechanisms. But very soon followed the production of pocket watches that contained mechanisms produced by himself. But in 1798, Breguet presented his mechanism with “constant pressure” at a national exhibition. And from that moment on, his success could not be stopped. Not to mention the fact that Tsar Alexander of Russia, during a visit to Paris, used the opportunity to visit his great master studio in Paris.
But in 1808, Breguet’s son, Louis, joined the company as a partner. Together with his father, they managed to perfect both the design and the production of watches. After his father’s death, he managed to run the business by changing its name in the meantime into “Breguet et fils”.
